| This Round Diamond and Emerald brooch might be the original or earlier setting of the Round Diamond and Sapphire brooch that is nowadays often worn by Queen Beatrix and others. This earlier setting has a rectangular emerald in the centre in stead and a drop pearl pendant. It's exact provenance is unclear but a similar piece (diamond brooch with a precious stone and pearl pendant) can be seen on a portrait of Queen Anna. |
