| These bracelets are the only remaining pieces belonging to Queen Wilhelmina's Wedding Gift Parure. Originally the bracelets had two diamonds attached to the side but these have been removed. Queen Wilhelmina wore the bracelets on occasion with the tiara and necklace but mainly for portraits. Queen Juliana did not wear these bracelets. She preferred to wear her grandmother's Mellerio Sapphire parure that also included bracelets. Queen Beatrix however has worn the bracelets many times. She prefers to wear these with the Mellerio Sapphire tiara as the bracelets from the Mellerio Sapphire parure are said to be very heavy. Princess Maxima has also worn the bracelets on occasion. |
