| In recent years Princess Maxima has been wearing a striking jewellery set resembling the famous Art Deco Tutti Frutti jewels made in the 1920's and 1930's by Cartier. Jewels that were in fact Indian inspired. On Christies auction pages the necklace is described as a graduated line of carved emerald, ruby and sapphire flowers and leaves suspended from a meandering diamond set seam to the carved flower and diamond clasp. The bracelet is described as a diamond set branch with carved ruby, emerald and sapphire buds and flowers. The two pieces were sold in 2007 for about € 50.000 Princess Maxima seems to be the current owner. |
